Pay scale: (Rs.18,000 to 56,900) for the post of Sepoy in NCB and Pay Level-3 (Rs. 21,700-69,100) for all others posts.


Nationality: Candidate must be a citizen of India. Vacancies are state/ UT wise hence a candidate must submit domicile/ PRC against his state/ UT.

Age Limit: 18-23 years as on 01-01-2023. Candidates should not have been born earlier than 02-01-2000 and later than 01-01-2005 in normal course. However, after relaxation of three (03) years in upper age, the candidate should not have been born earlier than 02-01-1997.

Age Relaxation: Permissible relaxations in upper age limit for different categories are as under:

SC/ ST: 5 years
OBC 3: years

Educational Qualification: The candidates must have passed Matriculation or 10th Class Examination from a recognized Board/ University.

Application Fee:

Candidates have to pay a certain amount as application fee depending up on their category. The details are as given below:

SC/ ST/ ESM/ Women: NIL
Others: Rs 100/-

Payment Mode: BHIM UPI, Net Banking, by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards or through cash in SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan.


SSC GD Constable Exam – Selection Process

 

Selection Process:

The selection process of SSC Constable GD will consist of following stages:

a) Computer Based Examination (CBE)
b) Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
c) Physical Standard Test (PST)
d) Medical Examination (DME/ RME) 
and
e) Document Verification

  • The Computer Based Exam will consist of four different subjects. (General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Knowledge & General Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, and English/Hindi)
  • There will be 100 questions in the exam for a total of 100 marks.
  • Each question will carry a +1 mark.
  • The exam will be conducted in both Hindi and English languages.
  • There shall be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.
  • The candidates who clear this stage will be selected for the final stage which will be the Medical Test and Document Verification.

Note – There are no chest criteria applicable for women candidates.

The candidates who are declared not qualified in Physical Standards, i.e. height and chest may prefer an appeal on the same day to the Appellate Authority nominated for the Centre through Presiding Officer (PO). The decision of the Appellate Authority will be final and no further appeal or representation in this regard will be entertained thereafter. There is no appeal in PET (Race).

Applications must be submitted in online mode at the official website of the Commission i.e. https://ssc.nic.in .

Important Dates:

i) Dates for submission of online applications: 27-10-2022 to 30-11-2022

ii) Last date and time for making online fee payment: 30-11-2022 (23:00)

iii) Last date and time for generation of offline Challan: 30-11-2022(23:00)

iv) Last date for payment through Challan (during working hours of Bank): 01-12-2022(23:00)
